The High Altitude Tennis Difference
We stumbled on High Altitude Tennis about a year ago while searching for a tennis program that offered more court time and focused instruction for our girls. The HAT team does an amazing job of melding all aspects of the tennis game into a program that keeps my girls excited about playing - on and off the court. It is rare to find a junior program that consistently focuses on the technical, mental and fitness aspects of the game and HAT does just that. They approach each lesson and group session with a plan for each student and push them to do their best, not just in tennis, but in all aspects of life.
--Jen Untermeyer The HIGHEST TRUST in HAT! If you want to send your junior to a quality program, there is no alternative!!
-- Gary Briggs We have the highest trust in HAT. Seldom do you find a program that has the information and imparts that information and at times puts the students with the top players in world and a chance to go to the top Clinics in world. One more thing, they really care about their students.
-- John Luhmann "High Altitude Tennis have an excellent junior program that is educating not only our son, but providing important information for us as parents as we support his efforts. We've been with HAT for several months now and can see the change in his level of fitness, the improvements in his strokes and match play and the development of his thought processes as he incorporates everything he is being taught into his game. His progress is clearly visible and amazing to watch. We're excited about the journey our aspiring junior is undertaking and grateful for the opportunity to be working with the team at HAT!"
-- Donna Neale Definitely trust HAT. You have so much information and my daughter knows that you care about her development as a player. Love this place!!
-- Maureen Hagan As a father of 2 young junior tennis players, I have observed a lot of private and group lessons. I recently observed 3 private lessons my sons took from Ryan Segelke of High Altitude Tennis. I can honestly say they were the best planned and executed private lessons I have ever seen. Ryan's attention to detail and focus on his students is outstanding!
-- Greg Maxwell
"High
Altitude Tennis helps players get better. It seems simple, but is so true. They provide players
with 'real' information that will help players develop and reach
their goals. Ryan Segelke has been trained by Steve Smith (Tennissmith) and has worked with many players from novice to the professional level. ... Training at High Altitude Tennis will
help put players on the path to learning an all-court game and
skills that will hold up under pressure. In other words, it is a no
brainer to be part of what Ryan and his staff have to offer."
-- Chad Berryhill, Assistant Men's Tennis Coach, University of Central Florida
We
had our daughter work with the guys at HAT this past summer and were
very pleased with her development. They broke down her swing and
rebuilt it with their techniques. She made a huge amount of progress
over the summer and also gained a solid understanding of the
fundamentals of her strokes. We also liked the personal attention the
guys gave her, which went beyond the tennis court. We would highly
recommend the guys for anyone looking to improve their game. -Rick Wheeler
"Training at High Altitude Tennis over the summer will not only push
your college team members physically but mentally as well! The staff at
HAT is committed to pushing players past their perceived limits. Not
only will your players come back in better shape than when they left
school for summer break, but they will come back to school in the fall
with a better understanding of how to play smarter tennis! One of the
worst fears for college coaches is that their players will do very
little to improve their tennis over the summer. By training at HAT,
college coaches can rest assured that their players are getting better
and preparing for the upcoming school year by training at HAT over the
summer break." -Chad Stoloff, former
Division I Men's Tennis Coach-University of Nevada, U. of Hawaii, and
San Diego State U.

“Ryan
Segelke is a respected coach, fellow teaching pro and player. He has a
work ethic that is tough to keep up with and he's a pleasure to work
with. Ryan has real world experience in what works. He coaches like he
trains. He is hard working, positive and motivational, and yet he'll
tell you what you need to know. That's a nice recipe for a coach.”

“I started taking lessons from Ryan almost a year ago with the goal to get back into competitive tennis. Ryan's in-depth knowledge of on court strategy as well as his ability to break apart my game and pinpoint specific areas for improvement have been instrumental to my success. His motivation and clear passion for the game are a tremendous asset and have helped me get back into tournament shape much faster than I had anticipated!” -- John “I have worked with Ryan for over 2 years. His clinics where challenging and hard driving. It was the highlight of my tennis week. Ryan pushed our group to get out of our comfort zone and improve. His belief that you can improve, his desire to make you improve, and his positive attitude and personable way of teaching is what makes him a great coach.” -- Gabriel Strength and Conditioning
There is no question about it
that Michael can help get your athlete to the level of success that
he/she may
want to be at as long they put it in the work and effort that Michael
may ask
for…He always keeps the workouts fresh and interesting so that you won’t
become
bored with your workout routine. The workouts are hard and challenging
but very
satisfying in the end. In my eyes it was worth every penny and every
second to
train with Michael.
-- Conor Murphy, University of Minnesota, Student Athlete My training sessions were awesome. You were knowledgeable in the lifting aspect as well as the fundamentals of recovery, muscle gain, nutrition, performance, fast-twitch muscle, slow-twitch muscle, and the overall functions of the body. I credit most, if not all, of my increase in speed on your work with me. -- Greg Lowhorn, Parkway Swim Club National Team Michael was my trainer for 4 months and quite frankly, I would have preferred that time to be longer. From the beginning, he was very thorough and had a genuine interest in my goals and expectations. As a result, he created a training plan tailored to my goals and delivered it. Throughout the weeks, he consistently sought feedback and asked if I was achieving the results I desired. His approach during workouts was subtle yet aggressive, you didn't want to let him down or yourself down. I thoroughly enjoyed having Michael as my trainer and hope that my new one can live up to the bar Michael set. -- Mike Bystrom I have thoroughly enjoyed working and training with Michael Farrington. His knowledge of the body, his affinity for correct form, safety, and effectiveness along with his motivation and sharp wit were appreciated, extremely helpful and inspiring. -- Carol Holmes Michael, I found you to be patient, well-prepared and always on time. You neither pushed me beyond my capabilities, nor did you give me routines that were easy. After every workout, I felt exhausted but exhilarated. -- Ananth Seetharaman |
