Ryan is originally from Eaton, Colorado.  He was a dedicated junior player, training at the Hopman and Bollettieri Academies in Florida.  Driven by an extraordinary work ethic and solid determination Ryan began a 4-year stint on the US Pro Satellite Circuit Tour.  During his time on tour he had the opportunity to train amongst several notable coaches and travel with many great players.

In 2004 Ryan's focus switched from playing to teaching.  He earned a certification from the USPTA and took every opportunity to learn the art of coaching and began working at tennis centers and clubs throughout the country.

Wanting to learn and do more for the sport of tennis, Ryan reconnected with many of the players he traveled with during his days on tour, several working as traveling coaches for ATP and WTA players while many coaching at some of the United States' most well known academies.  This provided Ryan with the opportunity to visit training programs across the country including the USTA Training Centers in California and Florida, and Advantage Tennis academy in Irvine, CA and Tennissmith in Tampa, Fl.  

Ryan's commitment to developing players, along with the information he gathered from successful programs and coaches around the globe, presented him with the foundation for the creation of High Altitude Tennis llc, Colorado's premier tennis academy.  He has spent the last few years training and traveling with WTA players as well as developing high-level juniors and consulting with college teams at High Altitude Tennis based in Parker, Colorado.

Ryan has coached and consulted with Professional WTA Players including: Camilia Giorgi, ITA; Alexa Glatch, USA; Karen Barbat, DEN; and Zoe Scandalis, USA.

Michael is our trainer on staff and brings with him extensive experience training and educating young athletes.  A former NCAA Division I swimmer, he understands the drive, determination and commitment it takes to get an athlete to their ultimate goal.

Michael has been training college, national and international level athletes since his graduation from the University of South Carolina.  Most notably his National Team swimmers in Saint Louis, Karen Barbat (#2 tennis player in Denmark and member of the 2011 and 2012 Denmark Fed Cup Teams), Ao Gai (#800 ITF Juniors), Pengyu Zhang (#1,000 ITF Juniors) and Hao Zhang (#1,000 ITF Juniors).  Many of his athletes have gone on to attend and compete at many prestigious Universities.  

Michael's education includes the National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM PES), National Academy of Sports Medicine Speed, Agility and Quickness (NASM SAQ), International Sports Sciences Association Specialist in Sports Nutrition (ISSA SSN) and PTR Etcheberry Coaching Certification.  Using his training experience with world class athletes, Michael develops individualized tennis training programs focusing on all aspects of the tennis game for all of our beginner tennis players through to our touring professionals.

Mason grew up playing tennis with his family in Worcester, MA.  He attended undergraduate at Swarthmore College where he played soccer and earned a Bachelor’s in English Literature leading him to Osaka, Japan where he taught English.  Mason returned to Boston and began teaching tennis full time.  Mason then attended Boston University where he received his Master’s in Sports Psychology.

Mason is a consultant to athletes, coaching them on mental skills and has been coaching the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams at Emerson College in the heart of Boston since 2008.  Mason was awarded the Great Northeastern Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Award for Women’s Tennis in 2009.
